Dr. Namika Raby is a cultural anthropologist specializing in decision making and the culture of access in development oriented public organizations. Trained in irrigation management institutions under the Professional Development Program, IWMI, and in Involuntary re-settlement, at the World Bank, she has over twenty five years of experience as a researcher and international consultant in the field of joint management of water resources by public agencies and community organizations in Sri Lanka, India, and the Philippines and current water issues and management in California, USA. Her current work is on governance and joint management of integrated water resources in large scale irrigation systems and water basins.
